On all fronts, the Power Rangers are in the midst of absolute crisis. Out in the cosmos, the Omega Rangers are desperate to find whatsoever edge over the seemingly unstoppable Empyreal threat, and things aren't much easier for the Mighty Morphin team back on World. Grace, on the other hand, has supplied Billy with everything he has needed to rebuild the Dark-green Ranger into something meliorate than ever. Though he doesn't have another Ability Coin laying around to experiment on, Billy wouldn't really need 1 to make a connection to the Morphin Grid if he wanted to and had the resource available, and Promethea's labs seem to take everything he would demand to consummate that process.

While Baton may be a foundational part of the Ranges, a movement to Promethea would likely be a ameliorate use of the full scope of his talents. Billy has already proven how much more he can accomplish when he isn't being micromanaged or second-guessed both in and out of the field, and Grace doesn't do that. While she has been guilty of handholding her recruits in the past, Billy has earned her respect and trust in ways that few tin can. If he tin can't patch things upwardly with Zordon, it wouldn't be surprising to see Baton take an extended leave at Promethea.
